Some of the most significant remains of National Socialist architecture in Germany are located in the south-eastern districts of Nuremberg. Still today, the unfinished ruin of the Congress Hall, the Great Street, and the remains of the Zeppelin Grandstand are testimony to the building plans and the propagandist dimensions of the party rallies. The tour of the grounds not only explains the megalomaniac stage-set architecture and the function of the party rallies as a propaganda show, it also explains how Nuremberg went on to deal with its National Socialist heritage.
Note: This group guided tour may only be booked in conjunction with an independent individual visit to the exhibition.
Please note that because of scheduled events, the site will be only partially open on certain days in June and July 2018. The exact dates will be announced well in advance.
The entire Documentation Center will still be open during these times.
