What payment options are available?

You can pay cash, or in special cases we can bill you (special reservations).

How much time should I set aside to visit the Tucher Mansion and Hirsvogel Hall?

A visit to the Tucher Mansion averages about an hour. The Hirsvogel Hall can be visited in about half an hour.

Do I have to book in advance when visiting with a group?

Advance reservations for groups of 15 or more are advisable.

Are there public guided tours of the permanent exhibition?

The Tucher Mansion Museum offers a standard tour guided by "Katharina Tucher" in costume every Sunday afternoon at 2.

Other guided tours emphasizing special topics are scheduled at various times. These include "A Visit to the Pepper Sacks," and "The World of the Rich and Powerful."

These tours are only available in German.

Can I also arrange tours outside regular museum hours?

Depending on the guides' availability, you can also arrange any tour outside the museum's regular hours.

Reserving group tours

Is there a cloakroom?

The area near the ticket desk has unguarded coat racks and small lockers. Keys to the lockers are available at the ticket desk.

May I bring my dog?

According to our statutes, dogs – with the exception of guide dogs for the blind – are not permitted in any of the Nuremberg Municipal Museums.

Is there somewhere to get a coffee or a bite to eat after a visit?

Unfortunately there is no food or beverage service at the Tucher Mansion Museum and Hirsvogel Hall. But many cafés and restaurants are located just a short walk away on the Innere and Äussere Laufer Gasse.

Is there parking at your building?

Because of the museum's location in the historical center, there is no parking at the building itself. But municipal parking garages are available only a short walk away.

Is the facility equipped for the disabled?

Unfortunately, disabled access is available only to the Hirsvogel Hall and the upper terrace of the Renaissance Garden. The Hirsvogel Hall also has an audio induction loop that enables the hearing-impaired who have appropriately equipped hearing aids to enjoy concerts, readings and lectures.

Can I rent your facility?

The Hirsvogel Hall, the entrance hall of the Tucher Mansion, the Mansion Courtyard and the Renaissance Garden can all be rented for private or official events.
