The Documentation Center is distressed to report that a fatal accident occurred at its construction site on Saturday, April 17, 2021. Three workers were injured, one of them severely, when a wall collapsed during work on the ground floor of the Congress Hall. Although emergency services arrived at the site quickly, one young man died of his injuries shortly afterwards at the hospital. The other two men have now been released from the clinic.
The team of the Documentation Center at the Nazi Party Rally Grounds and the Directors of the Nuremberg Municipal Museums are deeply saddened at this news. Our thoughts and sympathy are with the victim's family in this difficult time, and we want to express our deepest condolences. We also wish to thank the emergency service team for their fast response at the site.
