How the "Monuments Men" Found the Imperial Regalia
Reserving group tour
After a brief tour of the new department "A Crown – Power – History", you can visit the nearby Historic Art Bunker to see how the Imperial Regalia survived the bombardment of the Second World War. The "Monuments Men" – the branch of the U.S. Army assigned to protect art – had the mission of keeping artworks from being plundered or destroyed, and of finding and recovering cultural treasures stolen by the Nazis.
