The Museum of Industrial Culture has one of Germany's largest sports collections, documenting Nuremberg's history as a center for athletics and also featuring items of nationwide interest.
The exhibit presents objects relating to the speed-driven sports of running, cycling, and motor racing, including information on the Reichelsdorfer Keller velodrome and the Norisring street circuit – both of which are central Nuremberg venues rich in sports history. The presentation provides a link to the present day and serves as a model for how other parts of the collection could reach a wider audience in a dedicated sports museum.
