Although the Nuremberg Municipal Museums hold a complete collection of Dürer's prints, his paintings and drawings have been dispersed over the centuries to museums and collections all around the world. But many of his most important works have now been brought back to Nuremberg in digital form. A drawing, print or panel painting from each of the 43 years of his artistic career is now available in high resolution on an easy-to-use media station. Brief descriptions in German and English set each work in its own context in art history and within the story of Dürer's life.
