Farewell at the Albrecht-Dürer-House

On May 21, on Albrecht Dürer's birthday, artist Bogi Nagy will embark on an extraordinary art project at 11:00 am in front of the Albrecht-Dürer-House: a multi-week hiking journey on foot across the Alps – from Nuremberg to Venice.

Inspired by Albrecht Dürer's journey to Italy, she follows his historical path – not as an exact replica, but as an artistic exploration of art, culture, and stories in today's context.

The over 700 km route leads through diverse landscapes, along ancient trade routes, and across cultural boundaries – from Franconia over the Alps to the lagoon city. Along the way, she will artistically capture her encounters, stories from the places, and her impressions.

This project is a vibrant tribute to Albrecht Dürer and simultaneously a contemporary artistic dialogue between the past and the present.

Everyone is warmly invited to witness the beginning of the journey in person and to send the artist their best wishes for the road ahead.
