Zeppelin Grandstand and Zeppelin Field

The Zeppelin Grandstand and Zeppelin Field are currently undergoing major structural work to ensure visitor safety and are therefore not accessible.

The City of Nuremberg is securing the historically important site in its current state. The aim is to preserve the status quo and, over the long term, transform the Grounds into a “walk-in exhibit” and a space for historical and political education and encounters. The “Learning and Encounter Space Zeppelin Field and Grandstand” will be developed as part of this concept. Plans exist for outreach and educational programmes at this historical location, including exhibition elements inside the Zeppelin Grandstand and on Zeppelin Field itself.

Another component will be the former Dutzendteich Station, which will be developed as an “Info Point Zeppelin Field”. There, visitors will able to learn about the history of the station and the Grounds as a whole.

Expected reopening phases:

From September 2028: the Zeppelin Grandstand will become publicly accessible
First quarter of 2031: Zeppelin Field will open to the general public

Until these reopening phases begin, we ask for your understanding for the restrictions.
